BEST PRACTICE IN ACCREDITATION AND TRAINING

Introduction

The Sub Group have discussed this matter at length with a view to the development of a Best Practice document. It has become obvious to the members of the Sub Group that the matter is a complex one. Although the issue of accreditation is a national one and beyond the scope of EMHAUC, there are certainly areas of training, that with work, could be beneficial to EMHAUC. However this requires addition resources and is a matter that needs to be constantly reviewed and worked upon to ensure that changes in Codes of Practice, national legislation, materials, equipment, IT procedures are kept up to date with.

Conclusion and recommendation

The Sub Group believes that the issue is an important one and one that EMHAUC needs to address. It therefore recommends that EMHAUC appoint Training Sub Group.
